Verification policy
Provider verification policy
Provider records are grouped by evidence level. This page defines the labels used across county provider pages and explains why quote routing is disabled.
How to read provider status
- Official/preapproved vendor
- A source-backed official list names the provider. Outreach, active license review, and consent are still required before quote routing.
- Pending city review
- A city source lists the candidate as pending or under review. Keep that status visible and do not present the row as verified.
- Research lead
- A permit contact, public list, or discovery source suggests a provider candidate. This is not a verified provider listing.
When can a provider receive quote requests?
Quote routing should only be enabled after provider outreach, active license review, and explicit provider consent. Until then, records are research context only, even when they come from an official city list.
Permit contacts
Permit-contact rows are discovery leads only. A permit-contact name can indicate possible ADU activity, but it does not verify current business status, licensing, insurance, availability, or consent.
Review profiles
External review links can support manual research, but they do not independently verify provider status. They remain labeled as supporting research only.
