San Jose’s program lets you start with a building plan the city has already reviewed. You still need documents for your property, utility connections and site conditions.

Confirm the current eligibility criteria, accepted plan version and site restrictions with San Jose before relying on an expedited schedule.
These plans appear in the city’s approved section. This is not a current contractor license audit or a recommendation.
